15 minute dreams

I just found out about the possibility of attending the Tokyo Game Show 2006, and then about the impossibility of it. Our flight doesn't get in to Narita until 3:20pm, and the show is over at 5pm on Sunday. The Serendipity Fairy winked at me, wiggled her tush, and then shut the door. Ah well.

Yep, close, but not overlapping. :-/ I think we need to find a group of cool people, and buy a small dilapidated farming village in Japan and turn it into a mini IT center. You in? ;-) Of course I believe last I mentioned this plan it was a small island somewhere, or perhaps Vermont. The dream will not die! But will also probably never be realized. I wonder what it would take though? Not even the IT part, just gaijin village with fast net. Since you technically need a job to get a visa? Or can you just buy one? I think New Zealand will let you immigrate if you have enough money? Anyway, it'd be fun for a couple years.

Hokkaido is, relatively, a "small island"

Don't suppose you'll be up this way while you're here?

Heh. Somehow I doubt I could get together a group of people who could buy all of Hokkaido. :-D

And, unfortunately, no. The four of us talked about it, (while the 5th of us drooled), but there is so much we want to do around Tokyo and Kyoto. So the furthest north we'll be traveling is Nikko for a day trip.
