A Dress A Day

Somehow A Dress A Day crept into my daily comic strip perusal. I don't remember who turned me onto it, but I find it happy and amusing. I wanted to remember this quote that I read there today, because it is very, um, concisely descriptively true? Hmm. Because it is. I guess, because I do know those kind of people, and I'm sure most people have had that kind of conversation.

A Dress A Day, January 10th: "(you know, the kind where you can go out to dinner and talk about television and books and Legos and the inherently comedic nature of the deviled egg and then you leave feeling like you've just built a little roadside shrine to happiness together? Those kind of people?)

I guess it reminds me a little bit of that Jack Kerouac quote: "The only people for me are the mad ones, the ones who are mad to live, mad to talk, mad to be saved, desirous of everything at the same time, the ones who never yawn or say a commonplace thing, but burn, burn, burn, like fabulous yellow Roman candles exploding like spiders across the stars.."

Somehow it has the same kind of energy.
