So, Bryan and Megan are going to be visiting, and we are planning a one day drive to Yosemite and back on Saturday. With the four hours each way, and the 1yr old, it's going to be a bit of a crazy trip, what should we see? What should we avoid? Are we crazy to try to drive to Yosemite on a Saturday in the summertime? I've heard that Hwy140 is the prettiest approach, so we'll do that on the way there, and that eating there is crowded and meh, so I'm cooking up a giant picnic. I also checked a bunch of books out of the library, but other than that I haven't been able to do any planning yet. I guess we'll work it out in the van on the way there.
[edit: nevermind, when Bryan heard it was a 4 hour drive we decided not to go.]

If you're looking to go spend some time with trees without all the driving, there's always Muir Woods which has the added benefit of at least one stroller-friendly trail in addition to the much shorter drive.
